About us
Simon and Penny Rumble live at Tregonebris Old Farm next door to Dairy Cottage. They are always on hand to give advice and help whenever it is needed.
"We love living in this hidden corner of Cornwall. As well as the beautiful beaches, the area is steeped in ancient history. We can walk to the Neolithic stone circle of Boscawen-Un or take in the views from the Iron Age hill fort behind us. Our buildings are set in a very sheltered spot and in the summer there is no better place to relax, have a barbecue and enjoy the sunshine.

You've heard it from us so how about hearing it from the visitors of Dairy Cottage.

Our third visit to Dairy Cottage, and hopefully not our last! The cottage is beautiful and the garden an absolute gem - especially for children. The words of our oldest probably indicate how much of a treasure this place is for families (not least, because of Penny and Simon's thoughtfulness as hosts): "The garden is so big and great to explore. We can't wait until we come to stay again!" (Emily, age 7 and Anna Exeter)

We've just had a wonderful week staying at Dairy Cottage. The cottage has lovely rustic charm, the large garden is wonderful (great for an energetic dog and children) and Penny and Simon were very relaxed and welcoming.

Absolutely sublime cottage. cannot fault it at all! Have had a brilliant week here, soaking up the gorgeous weather and beautiful Cornish scenery. The Dairy Cottage is the best cottage we have ever stayed in. Perfect surroundings, perfect hosts. Without doubt we will be returning. Alistair, Rebekah and Phoebe Ward
And from the beginning
"Wow! You certainly have the X-factor here. Love the artwork by Penny on the walls and the welcome bottle of wine after a long drive made our first evening perfect!"

"Tregonebris is bathed in peace.
We were lucky to stumble on the family Rumble.
Hope to return next year."

"We love this place. It is a home from home. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Dominic and Amy, Cambridge, February 2013.
"Dairy Cottage is an excellent base for exploring far west Cornwall. The cottage is beautiful with great artworks and antiques and is fantastically well-equipped. We particularly appreciated the guides to walks and the OS maps. We hope to come again."
Victoria, NSW, Australia, September 2013.
We have had such a lovely time in Cornwall and the cottage has been IDYLLIC; so private and peaceful, don't want to go home, must come again.

We (The Rixecker Family of 4 and a dog) spent two weeks at Dairy Cottage so what do we recommend? RELAX! Enjoy the cottage and the surroundings there is so much to see and explore.

Drive to an ancient beautiful area of Cornwall, find your internet shop already there in a lovely cottage you reach down a country lane.

This was our first visit to Dairy Cottage but not our last. Our dog Bella loved Poppy and was waiting for her every afternoon in the garden. They had lots of fun together. Dairy Cottage is like a home from home.

We do try holidays in other places but Dairy Cottage is our 'go to' for relaxation, comfort, beach walks and a feeling that all is right with the world. Thanks for a great week and we'll see you all next year.

Our stay in Dairy Cottage was lovely. The attention to detail was spot on and Penny’s hospitality was superb. We especially liked the thoughtful gesture of being greeted with the best home made scones and burning wood stove. Very spacious cottage, easily accessible to Penzance (car recommended). Lovely country side and a wonderful walking territory. Highly recommended!
